Refering to a current viral message about walk-in vaccination drive in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur on August 1, 2021, COVID-19 Immunization Agency (CITF) would like to inform you that this walk-in initiative is for those who are yet to register for immunisation, or are NOT yet been give an appointment date. This drive is NOTmenant for the public who have already have been given their appointment date.
Examples of those who have not yet received this appointment are those who do not have identification or travel documents, as described by YB Minister of National COVID-19 Immunization Program Coordinator Khairy Jamaluddin on July 16, 2021. See below for reference:
1. Individuals in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor who have previously signed up will be given an appointment in the near future. Individuals who have not yet registered, but have no restrictions on doing so, are also encouraged to register for vaccination as soon as possible.
2. The CITF would also like to inform that the Vaccination Centres (PPV) will operate for walk-in purposes in August will be updated and notified later. The current PPVs will not necessarily be open for this walk-in initiative.
Therefore, CITF would like to call on those who have received vaccine appointments to attend appointments on the date and location of the PPV provided. This takes into account the presence of more new variants, high COVID-19 cases and the need for vaccine protection as soon as possible.
